Las Vegas With Richelle
I’ve been to Las Vegas many times to perform as Bruno Mars from the Bellagio to the Mandalay Bay and most recently the MGM Grand. Most all times while out in Vegas, I’ve limited my time to going out after any performances whether it’s clubs, live shows or cocktails lounges because looking like Bruno Mars without security or assistance can be a little tricky. Fortunately, I’ve recently had a friend named Richelle come along and help! This most recent event for Microsoft, which included over 1000 attendees, I had the opportunity to have her come out to manage all the interactions required for me to have a smooth experience for not only the event, but also while out in Las Vegas as Bruno Mars.
The Pinky Rink Lounge
After the corporate event, we decided to head straight to the Bruno Mars Pinky Ring Lounge , while I was still in my outfit. In normal circumstances, I’d feel like I would be walking into the lion’s lair doing something like this, but this trip with my friend, it made it fun, exciting & memorable for me to go out and not just for me either, but I’m sure for the others who I had the pleasure of interacting with.
As soon as we got to the door, a nightclub attendant for the Pinky Ring looked at me and said “Aw that’s perfect!” Richelle talked to the a lady at the front and afterwards we worked our way into the lounge. As soon as we walked in, we walked straight to the bar & from the moment we walked in, we noticed all the tables looking at our direction. While at the bar, we decided to get drinks. We ended up getting Selvarey Rum with Pineapple because hey, we’re at Bruno’s Lounge! While at the bar we met a man from Germany who had previously been working managing German celebrities and at the end of our conversation he let us know if we’re even Berlin, we can use his place for free 😄
We decided to head to the dance floor to watch and dance to the music the band had been playing. The band was perfect. One of the bandmates even said to me he loved my whole outfit. While at the dance floor, I met a young lady who was a dancer, and also happened to live in the same city as I do. We danced for a little bit, swayed to the music and I was happy to see she was having fun just as much as I was. I loved all the music the band played and especially loved how the curtains would close when they transitioned to the DJ, who played just a great of music as the band.
As I went to order another drink after being at the dance floor, and I heard a guy next to me say, “Johnny Rico!”. I turned to him and said, “Hey! How do you know my name!?” He said, I follow you on Facebook and I was going to hire you last year for my wife’s birthday. I was thinking to myself, “Wow, what a small world.” I got to meet his wife too and shook her hand 🙂 I loved that I got to meet someone who was at the club, who knew I was Johnny Rico, not Bruno Mars, even though I was in character.
I needed to use the restroom so I walked out of the lounge. As I was at the entrance I saw people who had been waiting in line to go in and began to say “Bruno!” Then the phones came out and requests to take pictures started. I took some pictures and headed to the restroom after. As I was coming back into the lounge, one of the nightclub attendants for the Pink Ring lounge asked if he could take a picture of me. I was more than happy to and the picture he took is what you see in this blog.
As I walked back inside, a lady who I had met outside the entrance of the lounge wanted me to meet her mother and her son. I got to shake hands with them and told them it was very nice to meet them and I hope they enjoyed their evening. I walked back to the bar where Richelle was & we had another Selvarey with Pineapple. After listening to some more music, we left and both were happy and excited of all that the Pinky Ring Bruno Mars lounge had to offer, the seductive party vibe infused with the timeless allure of classic Vegas glamour, blended seamlessly with the vibrant ambiance of a modern luxury lounge & premium cocktails.
